2012 Nebraska Republican State Convention Bid Packet
The 2012 convention will be held in Nebraska’s 3rd Congressional District on Friday, July 13 and Saturday, July 14, 2012. Because there are so many wonderful cities and locations from which to choose in Nebraska’s largest congressional district, for the first time ever the Nebraska Republican Party is giving communities the opportunity to compete to hold our convention in their hometown, bringing literally hundreds of visitors and attendant commerce with them.
Here is our Convention Bid Packet containing all of the information needed to decide whether or not your city is equipped to hold such a large and instrumental convention during the exciting election year of 2012. Please download it and fill it out so we can start reviewing them as soon as possible. We look forward to hearing from everyone as well as begin planning what is sure to be an exciting event.

For the counties- How To Become a Delegate:
The road to Tampa begins at your county convention, that is, you must be a county convention delegate first, in order to go on to the State Convention, where the selection of the National Delegation will be chosen.
To begin, you must fill out and return the Delegate Filing Form to your county clerk by March 1st. You can click here for an example form, however you must complete a form for your county. You can find a complete list of County Clerks and their contact information here. You also must be a registered Republican within your county in order to be selected. Once it is filled out, return it to your county clerk to be notarized.
Your county convention will take place between June 1st-June 10th. Check with your County GOP or our website to stay current on your county convention dates as they will be updated regularly.
Once you attend, and happen to be elected as a county delegate, you may go onto the State Convention on July 14th , location TBA, to then decide the National Delegation that will go to Tampa.
The National convention will be held in Tampa, Florida from August 27th-30th. You can find more details about the RNC Convention here.
