Election 2012

For the counties- How To Become a Delegate:

The road to Tampa begins at your county convention, that is, you must be a county convention delegate first, in order to go on to the State Convention, where the selection of the National Delegation will be chosen.

To participate in the State Convention on July 14th in Grand Island, one must be elected as a delegate from their County Convention, which is to be held the first 10 days in June. The deadline to become a delegate was March 1st, however, if you contact your County Party Chairman, County Clerk, or Election Commission, it may still be possible to become a delegate to your County Convention.

Your county Convention will take place between June 1st-June 10th. Check with your County GOP or our website to stay current on your county convention dates as they will be updated regularly.

Once you attend, and happen to be elected as a county delegate, you may go onto the State Convention on July 14th , location TBA, to then decide the National Delegation that will go to Tampa.

The National Convention will be held in Tampa, Florida from August 27th-30th. You can find more details about the RNC Convention here.
